The Lands’ End School Starboard Scholarship Program was established to assist middle and high school students, currently in grades 8-12, who are enrolled at a Lands’ End Preferred School in the U.S.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or national origin.
The 2023 program will be accepting applications beginning September 11, 2023 through 12:00 p.m. Central Time on January 19, 2024, or once the first 1,000 applications are received, whichever occurs first. Please apply early to ensure your application will be received. Once the 1,000 application threshold has been met, applications will no longer be available, and notice will be posted on the site.
As part of your application, you must upload a current complete transcript(s) of grades/academic records/report cards from the 2022-2023 school year. Transcripts/academic records/report cards must display student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course, and term in which each course was taken.
To begin, click on the "Create Account" link at the bottom of this page to register. Applicants under the age of 13 will require parental consent. Keep a record of your username and password.
Parental consent will be requested via email. The email address provided for parental consent CANNOT be the same email address used by the applicant. Registration and Application must be completed by the student, not the parent, and must be created in the student's name, not the parent's name.
Upon successful registration, applicants will be prompted to complete their Student Profile. The email address you provide in your student profile must be active and you must check it regularly. Your Student Profile is NOT the application. The link to your application is displayed on the "Student Overview" page of this site after you complete your profile.
Standard capitalization (Jackie Smith, not jackie smith or JACKIE SMITH) must be used when entering data.
During the application process, you will be able to save your entered information and leave the site by clicking "Save and Log Out" in the left navigation area on each application page.
To log back into your account, you must enter your username and password. Click the "Continue Application" button to access your application. Your unsubmitted application will remain available for updates until submitted or until the deadline/application maximum is reached, whichever occurs first.
All required fields must be completed and in the proper format and the required teacher appraisal form must be submitted on your behalf before you can submit your application. The Review Page will highlight which items still need your attention. Once all application requirements are satisfied, the "Lock and Submit Application" button will be available to you near the bottom of the Review page. Carefully review your entire application before clicking on the "Lock and Submit Application" button. After the application is successfully submitted, your application can be viewed or printed for your files, but your submitted application cannot be updated or changed. Profile information, however, may be updated at any time.
If the 1,000 application threshold has been met, or if the January 19 12:00 p.m. Central Time deadline has passed, no applications can be submitted. Teacher appraisal form, supporting documents, and all required fields must be completed and submitted before then.
Recipients have no obligation to Lands' End. They are, however, required to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other relevant information, and to send a complete official transcript when requested.
Lands' End reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
